Hail to Pitt's dedicated Staff!
On June 24, 2024, employees from across Pitt’s campuses gathered for the 35th annual Chancellor’s Staff Recognition Ceremony.
This event recognized Staff employees celebrating milestone service anniversaries of 20, 30, and 40 years. The ceremony featured remarks by Chancellor Joan Gabel and Vice Chancellor for Human Resources James Gallaher. Representatives from Staff Council also presented various non-service awards. Following the ceremony, the University welcomed honorees and their guests to a reception in their honor as a token of appreciation for their commitment to Pitt.
This year we celebrated 171 employees from more than 30 different departments. In addition to those at the ceremony, 648 staff members are being separately recognized with service awards for reaching 5- and 10-years of service.
Ready for a statistic that's going to blow your mind?
In total, we celebrated staff with a combined 8,425 years of service!
Congratulations to this year’s honorees and award recipients!
