On Friday, November 22, the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board (PLRB) concluded their count of ballots for the University of Pittsburgh graduate student union election. The vote count has now concluded, and Pitt graduate students have voted to form a union represented by the United Steelworkers.

We will now begin the process of preparing for collective bargaining. The University has a great deal of experience in working with our unions and is committed to providing updates and ongoing information on gradstudentunionization.pitt.edu. While first contract negotiations can be complex, please know that we will come to the table in good faith and be there to support all graduate students throughout and beyond the process.
