Thasunda Brown Duckett, CEO of Fortune 500 retirement assets management company TIAA, will visit the University of Pittsburgh on Thursday, September 5, to speak with students, staff, faculty and executives.
She will visit the University at the joint invitation of Chancellor Joan Gabel and Vice Chancellor for Human Resources James Gallaher Jr.
As plan administrator for the University's retirement plans, TIAA plays an essential role in providing retirement security for thousands of Pitt employees and their families. The company is currently ranked No. 96 on the Fortune 500 list of U.S. companies by revenue. Duckett often speaks publicly on the topics of retirement security for women and other historically underserved communities and is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades.
While in Pittsburgh, Duckett will participate in several group events, as well as meeting with Chancellor Gabel. Details on her visit are still being finalized and will be announced shortly.
