The Office of Human Resources (OHR) is pleased to welcome Derek Smith as Assistant Vice Chancellor of Human Resources! Within OHR, Derek will serve as the leader of compensation and data analytics, working closely with Maureen Kendall of the Compensation Department and Jason Killmeyer of HRIS.

Derek brings with him over 11 years of experience in human resources in higher education, as well as experience leading several Lean Six Sigma projects, managing employee and labor relations, and chairing HR operations for HRIS and benefits.
