Dental and Vision Plans for Pre-65 Retirees

Dental Plans

The retiree dental plans, like the medical plans, are identical for retirees prior to age 65. The active dental plans discontinue at age 65. However, United Concordia offers the Concordia Access II Dental Plan starting at age 65. Learn more about the available dental plans for Post-65 coverage.

As an active faculty and staff member, the group program is considered a “voluntary plan”. Through the high level of participation in the dental plans, the University is able to obtain attractive group rates. Faculty and staff are responsible for the full cost of the coverage. As a result, if you continue with dental coverage up to age 65, the premiums are the same as those incurred by active faculty and staff.

As a reminder, the dental plans offered through United Concordia to eligible spouses/domestic partners prior to age 65 are:

  • Concordia Plus Dental Health Maintenance Organization (DHMO)
  • Concordia Flex I
  • Concordia Flex II
