Post-65 Coverages

Retirees Who are Age 65 or Older

The medical coverage for retirees who are age 65 or older coordinates with Medicare. Once an employee reaches age 65, they may only receive the Defined Dollar Benefit Credits (DDB). With these credits, you may purchase coverage that either “compliments” Medicare or “replaces” Medicare.

You may continue to “bank” your DDB credits if you have other coverage.
