Benefit Management Services

The University of Pittsburgh has a partnership with UPMC Benefit Management Services to be the third party administrator for handling the benefits administration through a new University of Pittsburgh Benefits Service Center. The service extends to individuals who are retired or disabled and who are eligible to be participants in University of Pittsburgh Health Care Insurance Programs. The service will also extend to eligible family members.

While the University remains responsible for the overall management of the plans, UPMC Benefit Management Services will handle the general program administration and day-to-day operations. Offices are located in downtown Pittsburgh.

You will have access to member services representatives through the member services telephone line with extended hours of operation Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Access by e-mail and fax will be available seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
