Overview
The University of Pittsburgh is an Instrumentality of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. As such, the University and the unions representing its employees are governed by the Pennsylvania Public Employee Relations Act and subject to the jurisdiction of the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board.
